Look! Up on the mantel! Its a photograph. Its a trophy. No, its a Superman Water Ball! Classically posed with arms akimbo, cape fluttering in the breeze, and a little curl right in the middle of his forehead, the Kryptonian Kid stands atop the Daily Planet (a great metropolitan newspaper), daring neer-do-wells to perpetrate their dastardly deeds!
In keeping with the Christmas season, this Superman Water Ball plays an up-tempo version of Irving Berlins White Christmas. Ever so adaptable, the Superman Water Ball also makes a great paperweight.
Hermetically sealed in a mayonnaise jar for 20 years this ornament just revealed itself while we were making room for the new Lemax merchandise. This ornament came from Kurt S. Adler, renowned for its high-quality holiday ornaments. In the early 2000s we also carried Adlers ornaments. This particular specimen arrived at our warehouse factory-fresh in 2004 or 2005.
